As I see it, it's important that the report says analysts did not see Wilson's findings as weakening claims that Iraq had sought to purchase uranium from Niger and that Wilson's wife had a role in recommending him for the assignment. Marshall unobtrusively acknowledges these two facts before going onto attack the writer.

But those two facts strike at the heart of Wilson's credibility as he has publicly claimed the opposite.
