This kind of thing was supposed to have been banished from US politics with the Voting Rights Act during the early 60's, stemming from the old Jim Crow south.

Notice how the voter roll scrubbers picked primarily on blacks, which I suppose, might not be as objectionable to their constituency. We need to end this kind of thing completely now. If you want to gain political power, win the election the fair way and no cheating.

BTW: Also notice how the Democrats and press also shied away from pushing this story. It's not just Bushies who are to blame here, there's something generally wrong with the picture. Were Democrats and the press just scared or what? IMHO this is a bigger story than Watergate, but the only coverage was one bit on CNN and in the local Florida papers.
