No, I don't believe all Muslims are terrorists. But I do believe that Bin Laden and his Jihadists are devout Muslims, motivated by faith. I know talking about religion makes Westerners uncomfortable. It's on the list of taboo topics, along with politics, money, and sex. We're perfectly willing to talk about politics, money and sex, so why not religion? Why pretend to ourselves that religion is really politics? By the way, it's not bad theology to believe that Christians should kill heretics. Plenty of very devout Christians still believe in conversion by the sword, they're just in the minority these days. And it's not bad theology for Bin Laden to believe that Muslims should kill the Kufr invaders who oppress Muslim believers. As he put it in his Declaration of War Against America, "It should not be hidden from you that the people of Islam had suffered from aggression, iniquity and injustice imposed on them by the ZionistCrusaders alliance and their collaborators; to the extent that the Muslims blood became the cheapest and their wealth as loot in the hands of the enemies.
