I have only 2 eons Alan

The Old Covenant that completely ended when Christ returned
and the New Covenant - which began between the cross and
the second coming and will last as long as the earth shall
stand which could be another "for ever" :-)

I do not believe the bible teaches that the earth will end
that however does not mean it won't - just that it is not taught.

No one has ever shown me a verse that teaches the physical
earth will end or be destroyed - there is not one.

Seeing that the earth may stand forever - Jesus will continue
as Priest under the Order of Melchezidek -
which existed before the order of Aaron ever did.

If there be any other 'eons' it can only be a dividing of the first
eon - in the Old Covenant - there are no other 'eons' to be
expected on earth.

Do you honestly think the '1000 years' are a literal figure?

The word 1000 was used often without a literal meaning.

Psalms 90:4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as
yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

Psalms 50:10 For every beast of the forest is mine,
and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

God only owns the cattle on the first 1000 hills -
the rest belong to someone else?
