It was almost unanimous that Edwards was a ''great choice'' and that he would help Kerry get a ''big'' bounce in the polls. I really loved Chris Mathews going ''gah gah'' over the choice. Chris was drooling and was just all aglow. Then there was Joe Scarborough on MSNBC telling us that Kerry would be up ten points and then after the convention they would be up18 to 20 points. Scarborough was an elected Republican and should know better, but something happens to Republicans when they are given a TV show. They seem to lose their minds trying to please liberals. Well, while waiting for the ''big'' bounce something strange happened. It never happened at all! You would think when the polls flopped that the media would think that was a ''big'' story. THE BOUNCE THAT NEVER HAPPENED! No, they just made excuses or tried to pretend it did happen. Chris Mathews again decided to play the fool. On his show he cited the Zogby Poll. He claimed that Edwards had caused a 15-point bounce in the South. Strange though, the Zogby Poll showed Kerry with a two point lead overall and that was the same as the previous Zogby Poll. No bounce. Mathews apparently thinks his audience is stupid. He never cited the overall two-point lead and that it did not change. If Kerry gained 15 points in the South, why did the poll only show a two-point Kerry lead nationwide? Mathews never mentions that. Scarborough barely mentioned the non-bounce and that he made those ridiculous predictions about a 20 point gain. He was silent. I wonder why? I am getting tired of conservatives getting a television show and then bending over to try to get a group of liberals to think that they are fair and objective by feeding them pap on some liberal nonsense. There is no moral equivalence between Republicans and Democrats on most issues. When the liberals lie, it is not an opinion or a point of view; it is a lie. Bush did not steal the election in Florida. Do a Google search on vote fraud and you will find 95% of the vote fraud in the country involves Democrats. Do a search on negative campaign commercials and you will find 90% of those spots are by liberal Democrats and their sub groups. When people like Bill O’Reilly say that ''both sides do it'' they are just playing to the liberals in their audience. They think they have to say that in order to appear to be fair and balanced. Any objective reporter would know that the Democrats are the culprits in both of these issues. I find it amusing that these same folks in the media are dumbfounded that the economy is growing at a twenty-year high and that is not getting through to the people. Whom do you think is responsible for that? If people are uniformed, do you think it might be because the liberal media is not informing them? It might be that the media is producing stories every night that portray the American people suffering through this ''bad economy''? If the American people think we are losing in Iraq, when progress is being made every day, where are they getting that idea? The good news is that the left appears to be wasting its money. With all the bad news and the nightly attacks on President Bush, he is still running even. I think after the GOP convention he will start pulling away.
