So, we invaded Iraq for Israel's benefit? That certainly wasn't mentioned when Bush was beating the war drums. Saddam wasn't linked to terrorism against the US.

As for the Saddam-AQ link, jeez, READ THE JUST RELEASED COMMISSION REPORT! It says there was NO COLLABORATIVE RELATIONSHIP. AQ approached Saddam, and he turned them down! AQ saw Saddam as an evil secularist. Saddam saw them as a bunch of troublemaking religious fanatics he didn't want in his dictatorship.

Just a minor detail here....wasn't the payment 25K??
