Pushing the anti-gay marriage amendment which is opposed by many conservatives on either libetarian or constitutional grounds. Continue to play to the base plus keep cheney as veep and by the time election day rolls around you will have lost the independent vote by 2-1. The Reagan revolution is ending prematurely because the republican party has eliminated the Big Tent for the Elmer Gantry tent. Onward Christian soldiers!
