It's obvious. A plan for dealing with a terrorist attack on election day. Imagine 9/11 happened on election day. What a mess!

Regardless of who is in the white house, you have to have a plan setup _ahead of time_ to deal with this, or you will have people harping about the very things you are. Of course, you will harp on it anyway b/c it serves your theories.

What success? The Spaniards were adamantly opposed to going into Iraq.

Aznar was polling ahead prior to the attack. Al-queda effectively changed the outcome of that election. I'm sure they will try that again (though it may backfire on them if they try it here).

Even if they don't change an outcome, can you imagine the dividing that would be done if they attacked at all at that sensitive time? Frankly, I think we would need to reschedule the election a few weeks later, but you would obviously disagree. What a mess.
