The bearish view of the US economy depends on facts like the enormous inbalance of trade, the unparalleled household indebtedness, and the rate of growth of the federal debt. I personally am also influenced by the moronic behaviour of the US government, as typified by the president.
I read your piece and it seemed to make sense. But when an obvious idiot is chosen by 49% of the voters and half of those who had the right to vote fail to do so, then I wonder how much effective education there has been. Bottom line, I'm perplexed but unconvinced.
