Typical conservative ploy. Raise devisive social issues if your campaign is in trouble. Kind of like 1988 when Bush's father literally destroyed his opponent Michael Dukakis. These people are mean spirited to the bone. They only want one thing, to win. The ironic thing is they probably don't even care about the social issue. Do you really think Bush is all that concerned about marriage? A lot of his conservative buddies have been married multiple times. Hetrosexuals have marriage failure rates around 50%, and the rates are highest in conservative southern states (surprise, surprise).
