I'll have to find the stat. But, I've read it a number of times. The main reason was attributed to poorer economic conditions in the South. Money is often at the root of problems in a marriage. There's a lot less money in the south, and apparently a lot more marriage problems as a result. I'll have to find a link to that stat this evening.
