Lots of benefits from Saddam's end. Kuwait is going to save billions on unnecessary military expenditures, as will other countries in the region. US and Great Britain will save quite a bit from not having to maintain the No Fly Zone. The Iraqi people will have better, safer lives. Democracy. Human rights. International trade.

Stuff like that.

Heard on the radio that France and Iraq have normalized diplomatic relations for the first time since Iraq invaded Kuwait 13 years ago.
