That's pretty funny. cBS. I like that. :-) In any case, I was smart enough to see the candidates demenor on TV, there's only so much media bias can do to present a candidate in a certain light. The fact is they were honorable opponents of Reagan. They didn't conduct slash and burn campaigns like Bush did in 1988. The media didn't invent Bush screaming every day at campaign rallies, he chose to campaign that way. Speaking of brainwashing. An interesting thing I learned years later, after the 1980 election, was the little October Surprise in which Reagan's campaign conspired with the Iranians to keep our hostages in capitivity, helping Reagan's campaign in the process. I've researched it greatly and believe there was a deal. Many prominent Iranians have admitted that they had a deal with Reagan's people. I even saw Iran's President on TV in 1990 talking about a deal. That was political manipulation at it's finest. We might see another episode this fall, if Osama is suddenly found just before the election. Wahlaa! What a find! Bush wins by 2%, just in time.
