On the American public's list of scum sucking vermin, these class action lawyers and ambulance chasers must rate a close second to politicians at the top of the chart. It's beyond me why Bush and his campaign people aren't hammering away on this sort of issue in their attempt to appeal to swing voters. Tossing red meat to the fundies with homo bashing doesn't cut it. Bush already has their votes sewn up. If he would just concentrate on "It's the economy, stupid" and detail what a disaster that Kerry and Edwards' policies would mean to the pocketbooks of voters, he'd have no problem getting re-elected, IMO. This election is between worse and worser, as far as I'm concerned, and the best that can be hoped for is a resulting total logjam and stalemate in DC, where neither side can inflict much additional damage...
