sue a lawyer for medical malpractice? That reminds me of a funny story told to me by my late father, who was a advocate in South Africa. He was defending a doctor in a medical malpractice case, and my late uncle, who was a cardiologist, was an expert witness in the case. At one point in the proceedings my uncle fumed "If only I could cross-examine that witness myself" to which my father promptly retorted: "If only I could give the medical evidence myself!" Peter
