"So why did Bush attack Iraq??????"

Bush has said it himself lot os times. Because the outlaw regime of Saddam Huessein, an avowed enemy of the U.S. in the heart of terrorist country, might help the terrorists by supplying them with deadly weapons. You know this JF.

"Bush shows no intention of invading Saudi Arabia. Need I remind you that 17 of the 911 terrorists were Saudi's...."

Bush's strategy is not to attack every country on earth that could be harmful to us. We are working with them to stop terrorists in their own country. If it does not work, and more attacks come from their country, I suppose an invasion is possible. But it is a stupid argument imo to say "why doesn't he attack NK, SA, Syria, etc, etc. If it is the best argument you have, or you feel we should attack SA, then make it your argument. But it is silly. Note that we did not attack Packistan or Libya, but I think we will be safer from both.

"You never said why you think the terrorists attacked us"

I think I just did above. They have declared war on us, and have attacked us or our interests at least 4 or 5 times. You can say that is not a reason, and maybe that brings you comfort in thinking you are "right". But that they did it on 9-11-01 so successfully should give you some pause.

"what do they want, why did they declare war????"

Ask them, go to their websights, read some books. There is a lot of information out there.

"They're certainly not going to conquer us or wipe us out, by killing so few at a time..."

I think 3,000 in one day is a lot. And if they did get WMDs (or do) it could be in the 10's or 100's of thousands a day.

"and most importantly by leaving themselves vulnerable to our modern WMD....

I don't know what you mean. Explain if you would like.

Why are they attacking these peter puffing priests?

Officials seen kissing priests
From correspondents in Vienna
July 13, 2004
PICTURES of authorities at a seminary caressing and kissing student priests have been published by a magazine in a sex scandal that has rocked the Roman Catholic church in Austria.

The weekly Profil magazine said prosecutors had opened an investigation into the seminary and had found thousands of photographs on portable computers showing acts of pedophilia and bestiality, as well as numerous pornographic films.

Profil said the scandal at the Sankt Poelten seminary, about 80km west of Vienna, erupted after priests decided to put an end to years of silence about the activities there.

It said the seminary director, Ulrich Kuechl, resigned last week.

His deputy, Wolfgang Rothe, was quoted by the magazine as saying he would also resign, without admitting any guilt.

Both men are said to be close to the Bishop of Sankt Poelten, Kurt Krenn, known for his arch-conservative views.

The Bishop said a picture showing Mr Rothe French-kissing a young seminarian had "absolutely nothing to do with homosexuality", and was merely the kind of "idiocy" boys get up to.

Austrian Radio said senior church figures were on the point of petitioning the Vatican to remove Bishop Krenn.

Profil said both Mr Kuechl and Mr Rothe had homosexual relations with students, using pedophile photos for stimulation.

Homosexuality between consenting adults is not a crime in Austria, but a church official said the seminary directors might have abused their positions to put pressure on students.

It is the most serious scandal in the Austrian Catholic church since Cardinal Hans Hermann Groer was forced to resign from his Vienna archbishopric in 1995 over allegations of pedophilia.

On a visit to Austria in 1998, Pope John Paul II cold-shouldered Cardinal Groer, who died at a monastery near Sankt Poelten last year at the age of 83.
