Re Tony Blair:
Let no good deed go unpunished.

And if someone had taken preemoptive action against Hitler and prevented WW2 no one would have given him credit either. No proof could be offered that his actions saved 40mm lives.

Saddam had an insatiable thirst for power and was on a never-ending search for nukes.
End the sanctions( because the UN declared him clean, which they never did -and the reader is left to ponder how that could be done) and Saddam and his sons would be the rulers of the ME and control the oil resources of the area.

Would he have destroyed the river dams and given back the marshlands to the tribes he destroyed ? Would he have given up stealing the oil money from the people and installed a fair justice system? Dream on.
Nobody seems to appreciate the fact he did not have stockpiles of WMD's . We were prepared for that- to lose 10000 or more troops, but only lost a few hundred in the actual combat.

Preemption works.

Saddam will not be starting another war in the ME, he will not gain control of Kuwait or SA or Iran and hold the world hostage to oil prices. Thanks to support of Tony Blair and others.

People have already experienced the use of Sarin and Anthrax and natures own bird flu on cities. How many more warnings do we need to learn it is important to such things out of reach of evil people.?
