I was running the RUBICON TRAIL in the High Sierras and a few people arrived a day early and camped at the trail head. A ranger came along and told them PUT YOUR FOOD IN YOUR VEHICLE. One damn fool listened too him. That night THE BEARS CAME, and FIRST the bear broke a window and crawled in, (course the people RAN LIKE HELL) then the bear broke out the back window and CRAWLED OUT,, but...bear wasnt satisfied, just for good measure he RIPPED BOTH DOORS OFF THE VEHICLE. I NEVER put my food in my vehicle. jdn
