Yes, I read that. But as I recall the text of his book he only argued she had no role in his selection. The narrow interpretation of that is the decision.

I don't see how one could have assumed otherwise from the beginning. She not only worked at the CIA but worked, roughly speaking, in the area in which Wilson was asked to investigate. So one would expect her to be asked. But so far I've seen nothing that says she was in the room for the decision making.
