LB ... I'm still smiling from a remark an elderly* buddy of mine made at a party this weekend ..... *(elderly means older than you ...gggg) he is retired US Army --- WWII and Korean --- extremely, and I mean EXTREMELY yellowdogdemocrat, as well as is his wife of 60 years my wife and I were having a nice visit with them at the party .. they live just around the corner from us, and we've all been friends for many years ..... he asked me where he could get a Kerry/Edwards sign to put up in his yard as the local Demo office isn't even open here yet .... I laughed and said that he best get one that was laminated cause all the neighborhood male dogs were sure to make a visit .... heh heh heh he thought that was pretty funny, but his wife didn't break a smile at all ... and then he made a remark that I thought was hilarious ... "this damn election makes me feel like I have to pick between two gentlemen who remind me of George Patton and Charles DeGaulle." not too far off base for a comparison, either .... ggggggg
