"A dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier, there's no question about it, " [Bush] said.
-- Business Week, July 30, 2001

Easier to do what? To ram his agenda down our throats? Doesn't this president know about checks and balances?

The fact that he has repeated his desire to be a dictator over and over says to me that he does not like the democratic process. He thinks it would be easier if he were the dictator. I think that he's dead wrong about that. A dictatorship is never easier. The set of problems he'd be dealing with would change. But it would not be easier.

It shows his disrespect for the democratic process and his lack of decorum as our president. But very shortly he will be the president of his ranch down in Crawford.
