I've recently subscribed to validea.com ,after trying their picks for a week for free. I was going to write my own screener to do what they do, but when I was researching it, stumbled over them.
So far, I've had good luck with them. I always cover my picks with a trailing stop. I have no affiliation with them, other than being a member.

careful with ebay, I think they could blow out their numbers. They are the *only company* hiring like mad around here. In fact they stepped up hiring last qtr especially paypal. If somebody gets laid off, they either get no job or they get a job at ebay it seems.

Of course nothing can help a high multiple stock in a bear market and ebay is indeed very richly valued. And we are probably back in a bear.

I think offshoring killed a lot of the tech industry as far as the stock market goes. Companies that plan to grow here in the US and stay here like ebay have great valuations. Companies that are shells of their former selves with a few managers and everybody else in china can't get the markets to give them a break. One day these guys will figure out there is a connection.

One word: Options.

If ya'll really want to have some fun, try some options. Being down 100% on your options trade in 2 hours isn't scary after the first 10 times :(
