the fact that you consider "buy and hold" to be a phenomenon of the late 90's proves you to be a financial dumbass.

Genius, I can only go with what your posts say or suggest. You were upset that Bush bought stocks that no longer exist. However, when he bought them, he bought them low and sold them high. Most would think that was brilliant trading. You disagreed.......so I had to assume you were from the buy and hold school, or just plain stupid.

Disagree. Buy and hold worked for much of the 80's and 90's because we were in a secular bull market. It didn't work for much of the 60's and all of the 70's because it was a secular bear market. The secular bull that started in 1982 ended in March 2000, and a secular bear began. Expect that to last for all of this decade and probably well into the next one.
