It snowed in May two times in Merced, CA in the 25 years I lived there. I guess nothing is impossible. I also got caught in an ice storm at about 9000 ft altitude near Yosemite Park in August, 1979; 6-8 inches of sleet piled on the ground in about 5 minutes.

The first two earthquakes I ever experienced were one in Iowa and the other in So. Illinois. Then I moved to CA for safety. (hahahahahaha)
