Glad you're back AS,

explain to me Kerry's position on abortion.

Right now, it looks like he says life begins at conception but he also believes it is ok for a woman to murder that unborn child.

Bush tax cuts benefit mainly the rich. The richer you are the more they benefit you and the less you need them.

Simple math. When you pay more, and the rate is cut the same for everyone, you get more back in dollars, but not %.

They may not "need" the money, but they are entitled to the money. Doing anything less than this is disguising another handout social program as a 'tax cut'. Just call a spade a spade. If you want to cut taxes, cut taxes. If you want to have a new social program, do that. You can even do both, just don't try to embed one in the other.

Benefiting the rich the most in dollar terms does not equal unfair or irrational. In fact since the rich pay more dollars in taxes then anyone else any tax cut that doesn't reduce their dollar tax burden the most would be unfair. Even after the curs the rich pay a higher percentage then the non-rich.

As for "not needing it", probably not, but the fact that someone doesn't need something it not a good justification for taking it away from him.
