Invading Iraq did nilch to help us to deal with the post 9/11 realities of al Qaida. No threat was removed by invading Iraq, but the new post 9/11 threat of a global movement defending itself against the foreign policy of the UNited States was greatly strengthened by our invasion. Invading Iraq was a giant step backwards.
