Clinton never spoke at my house, or my college. He never even campaigned in my city (to my recollection). Gee, I guess he was just your president all those years.

Nope. And if Kerry wins and he doesn't speak in front of conservative political organizations that doesn't mean he isn't their president either. He would be their president just as Clinton, Bush Sr., Reagan, Carter, ect. where all presidents of the United States, not just presidents of those they gave speeches to.
