You may not realize this, but these activities don't exist in a vacuum. You are not the first person on earth to wonder about them. There are many, many explanations, in depth, by Constitutional scholars, including law professors, history professors, political science professors, members of Congress, specialized journalists, etc.

I am always baffled by people who look at any particular section of the Constitution (or any law) (or action by the Courts, Congress, or the Executive) and seem to believe that this is virgin territory, and they are the first to navigate it.

Very naive. You and several others remind me of kids who call up reference librarians, say they have to do a research paper on so-and-so, and wait, expectantly, for the librarian to do their research for them.

If you care to make the effort to educate yourself, I'm here to help, but I've gotten very tired of leading people to water and hoping they'll satisfy their own thirst.

If you prefer childlike wonderment, your call.
