QUFCU IDEV Mar 05 7.500 Call Indevus Pharmaceuticals Incorporated Sold To Open 20 @ 1.3. This is a covered call sale on my existing 2,000 share long position. I am also still short 10 Sep 04 7.5 puts that expire in a couple days. I don't mind if these puts are exercised as my cost basis will be $6.45 and I will have an opportunity to lower this basis even further by selling covered calls. IDEV has been volatile to the upside lately though I haven't heard any news. Could be related to option expiration on Friday. Maybe maxpain is 7.5? At any rate, I regard the 6 month slightly out of the money call as being fairly richly valued implying a return of about 35% per annum. In this low rate environment I couldn't resist. Naturally I'll be kicking myself in March when IDEV is trading in double digits. <g>
