The only thing modern conservatism stands for anymore, is conserving a completing immoral and corrupt government and economic system. They have no principles to stand on anymore. Limted government my ass! They love government intervention, when it intervenes against their competition. Medical Marijuana (MM) is a perfect example. Less pain killers and other meds would be perscribed if MM was legal. Our modern conservatives are trying as hard as they can to preserve the MM status quo to protect the interests of the drug industry, alcohol industry, police inudstry, prison/industrial etc. All the usual suspects. What a joke conservatism has become. LOL!Lazarus Long is a good example of this divergence. He's arguing in favor of more intrusive government in regards to MM and against states rights. What that has to do with the orginal notion of conservatism and limite government, I have no idea?!?
