I think it's a political stunt to keep the media's attention and generate excitement and controversy among the party.

P.T. Barnum - type marketing. A little like the Priceline.com commercial - starring William Shattner and Leonard Nimoy.

I'm waiting for the media to start informal polls, "Should Kerry let Hillary speak?" Then, a "Draft Hillary (to speak) campaign, perhaps followed up by an overwhelmed, demur Hillary with blushing chipmunk cheeks waddling to the stage to endorse the candidate. Her tone should be telling as to her sincerety and future plans.

In the end, I think she'll take the podium, unless she would rather pull puppet strings behind the curtain.

You don't get it. Kerry is the biggest fundraiser in the shortest time in all history. Edwards is a great fundraiser. Hillary is a good fundraiser. Hillary will continue doing everything she can to get Kerry elected. She would be deluded to think she has any chance at the presdency in this lifetime. She is not deluded. She is a very smart woman.
