By industry, I don't mean cpu industry.

In other industries, that could be a gross assumption that could get you in trouble, depending upon the industry's needed level of flexibility or how flexible copy exact is.

I think it was Tad LaFountain that wrote something about this a very long time ago. He wrote a lengthy piece. Something about flexibility needed for changes and the ensuing costs.
