What's worse, it was the same thing during Iraq-1, Panama, etc, including that follow-up on how the media was manipulated and censored.

However, now (or next time??) there is this thing called internet, despite the fact that it did not do much in USA.
It seems to have worked somewhat better in UK, but the goal is still to have a multy-party system where one actually can trust that some (viable) "third party" can do what "they are supposed to do", that is, attack when two major parties agree (or are forced) to manipulate.

UK seems to now have finally got one "viable third party", the liberal democrates, but until UK implements a different election system than FPTP "that" does not really matter. However, the present (war)tory - (Blair)labour situation might give the lib dems the possibility to produce some "behind locked doors" promises of reform.
(including the pressure from Wales and Scotland, even North ireland)

note, traditionally the Tories has been the "war-party" while the Labour has provided the cannon fodder.
That is, the present situation is double-funny.

PS The connection to "media' is obviously that the "third parties" have to be "viable enough" to have their own media.
That stuff on "neutral", "un-biased" media is just BS, the point is to have both partisan media _plus_ "a (more) neutral platform" where they can meet and debate.
