Of course they wont in those states but moderate and even some dare i say liberal oriented folks need to be attracted in contended states. Kerry is killing us with those voters. Thats why the cheney thing scares the bejesus thing out of the dems who even concocted the "doctors plot" a la former hero Joe Stalin. If Cheney goes and mccain gets the nod all the contended states become bush country again. The dems have so successfully demonized cheney that they fear that they have done their job all too well. Once gone and a kinder face on bush re: stem cell eg, and as Jackie Gleason used to say "and away we go". Andrew, you need to convince the true believe types on this thread that i am right on this. Once the true believers realize that this is necessary to insure victory the only question becomes which one of the 3 potential replacements is the best politically as well as most acceptable to the base. Mike PS Re birth control and the fact that most catholics defy the church and practice it. Most catholics will also by into stem cell research on discarded embryos. Only the evangelical christians may oppose that and is suspect most of them have questions as well like in the case of what to do if your own 12 year old girl gets pregnant thru rape and what then to do. Evangelicals dont live in caves either and catholics have long since learned how to get around the church especially those that involve sex, love and rock & roll. mike
