Yes, AMD does need market share. And it is a bigger deal for amd than for intel. But Intel, for some reason, does not see it that way.

intel is likely ahead on manufacturing. On flip side they don't spend money wisely that is in the best interest of shareholders.

AMD did loose a lot of money. But this is tech so fortunes can turn really fast
