tippet see their site - it works on the waves on the surface - he uses hydraulics to store energy interesting concept - at the time I was interested in several projects were I was using sea water pumped up to store energy but no system could stand a serious storm..... and then salt corrosion.

Keep in mind sea waves are like pedaling a bike - same movement and similar transfer of energy.

If his system is storm proof he is right regarding the cost - maitenance is most of the cost of operation in such a system.

Are you familiar with Luz Solar collectors in California ?

I had some solution for half passive concept but by then crude dropped to around $10 or $12 and no investors were to be found
