All that sounds very good and rosy. But, surely, that's easier said than done.

It is not my intention to put a damper on your gushing optimism. Just don't forget there's a humongous National Debt to take care of.

It is all very well to expect a new leader to do things differently. But practical reality all too often imposes, sooner or later, continuance of some past course of action we now abhor so much, or adoption of something strikingly similar.

However, I do hope the Democrats will win convincingly and they will usher in a new America.
