No. That is an example of frivilous lawsuit. What does it have to do with John Edwards ?

Reminds me of the story of a jury trial many years ago involving a man seriously injured at a stadium by a flying beer bottle tossed by an unidentified irate fan.

The lawyers called witnesses and argued back and forth for weeks, the defendants claiming, of course, that there was absolutely, positively nothing they could have done to prevent the plaintiffs injury.

But throughout the trial the plaintiff's lawyer had a brown paper bag sitting on his table. Of course, the entire courtroom was curious. Finally when it was time to present his closing arguments, the plaintiff's lawyer brought out a beer bottle and threw it to the floor, shattering it and sending glass flying. Then, he opened the brown bag that had been captivating the courtroom for days and pulled out a paper cup, held it high and with all his might, threw it to the floor...

The rest is history.
