Doesn't PTT over DO perform pretty well too? So they would be moving to a more holistic solution for voice-data. Also the tech is a couple of years further along re commercial handsets.

I think they would proceed with QChat and save PTT over DO for Release A, but I haven't heard anything about how QChat has progressed.

I do know Sprint expected DV Release D to offer PTT performance on par with Nextel, I would think that also holds true for DO Release A.

Nextel is waiting for something from the FCC to make the spectrum swap official, should be out in about 2 weeks. After that, I think they are ready to make an announcement and get moving. We won't have long to wait for this, IMO.
