I have escaped the bounds of ultra-liberal Ann Arbor without any noticeable damage to my psyche or principles. Phew!!! It's good to be home, though the weather report predicts 100 degrees+ today.

I would hunt you down and beat you like a redheaded stepchild:) You can't run fast enough, old man. :-) Anyhow I think without any moral bearing we are heading on the path downhill. Ah, so our moral code consists ENTIRELY of "Don't be gay!" We really are in trouble then. What happened to "Thou shalt not murder" and "Thou shalt not steal"? I don't favor legalizing gay marriage either, but I hardly think American civilization is going to collapse 5 seconds later. I think following the Greeks and Romans shouldn't be our goal at this point. Why not? Neither did badly. The Greeks invented democracy, among other major accomplishments. The Romans brought hundreds of years of Pax Romana to a large portion of the planet. Among other things, such as major cities, major engineering accomplishments, and providing the yeast through which your much-treasured Christianity could spread. Of course being a small town redneck may have some to do with my thoughts also. I've probably been accused of being a redneck more times than you have, old man. And I'm a city slicker.
