I think I heard or read that Bush was the first President since Hoover to turn down the invitation to speak to the NAACP. So I guess they do.

The NAACP is a lot more associated with liberal casues that don't have anything to do with equal oportunity then it used to be. I don't even think the organization bashed Reagan so much as it has Bush. The NAACP used to be an important organization that made a positive difference. That isn't true any more.
