Quahog, I agree with much of your post but I must ask this re hydrocodone: You do know that hydrodcodone (Vicodin, et al) is a painkiller, right? What do you suggest be prescribed or otherwise done for for people with chronic, debilitating pain? - Holly

This helps explain why so many people are extremely passive these days, because they are just too drugged out to give a damn.... And I presume that is exactly what a lot of people in power want, a population of "passive robots" so they can pull the strings without too much resistance.
