New York has 45 Electorial votes and would be a complete slam dunk with Gulianni

You have to be kidding. Kerry has at least a 15% lead in NY and Rudy Giuliani is going to turn that into a slam dunk for Bush? Bush might lose votes there for looking like a flip-flopper and dumping Chaney who is still popular with the hard-right. NY has 31 electoral votes.

Sure, Rudy showed his face around NY after 9/11 rather than retreat to some hole like Bush and Chaney, but isn't that what a mayor is supposed to do? Don't forget that he was about to be laughed out of office because of his marital woes and also that NYC is definitely not New York state.

Rudy is hardly the heir apparent. About 100 other republican pols champing at the bit would heartily disagree with that. And Chaney.....he will probably be happy to be alive in 08....running for president is out of the question.
