Lindy, here's some of what I think. Message 20314178 Israel and by extension Jews will be deemed the equivalent of an AIDS infestation with that sort of carry on. The USA as Israel's Big Brother gets tainted in the process. The USA is either with us or against us. New Zealanders are getting really sick of bludging criminal scummy slimeballs abusing our good reputation, generosity and nice way of life. When I show up at some foreign border, there will be a presumption that I'm some Jewish Mossad assassin, which could be quite annoying if I'm left in the slammer, or worse, until I can prove my innocence. I think Israel should pay compensation of double the value of what was attempted to be stolen [namely citizenship with a value, I guess, of about US$1 million each]. Three criminals involved, so let's say compensation of US$3 million, which doesn't even start to make good the damage to our good reputation. Israel should also be required to take out full page advertisements in perhaps 20 major newspapers with an agreed apology, admission of guilt and posting of a good behaviour bond to the value of US$1 billion to be paid to the NUN [which doesn't exist yet, but should do]. If they are not convicted in the next 5 years of a similar offence, then they can have their money back [without interest]. I would be surprised if a Jewish cemetery is defaced by some individual, but I suppose it's possible. That wouldn't be normal Kiwi reaction. People here are quite annoyed. Being treated with contempt is a good way of making people angry and reactive. Their casual arrogance, continued in the court case from the reports [with obviously false drivel about this that and the other, such as not being Israeli agents, but being all in favour of conservation and cripples] is unendearing. Moslems seem to be getting no problem here, despite Islamic Jihad. Kiwis are notably fair and reasonable. It's a matter of pride in being civilized and accepting of people of all sorts. Helen and Judith [Prime Minister and High Court Judge] are old girls from Epsom Girls Grammar School. As I've explained from time to time, Helengrad is run by the Ministry of Women's Affairs and the Queen, Governor General, Chief Justice, Prime Minister, Minister of Justice, various other Ministers of the Crown, Telecom's boss and a women in general. It's the most female-run state in world history. The girls are not at all keen on silly boys playing their 12 year old "NO GIRLZ ALOWD" boys gang spy games when the girls are playing house. Judith Potter is really ace [I've admired her whenever she has handled a case]. Helen Clark is okay other than in her philosophical ideas in favour of Big Government and socialism. She's good in this sort of thing because she does want what's right and proper. Helen Clark will get a lot of votes from this one. She's given them a real rev up. Good job too. Mqurice

Defacing a cemetery needs some time in the slammer. reuters.co.uk They could be put in with the Israelis passport thieves and serve a parallel sentence. Maybe they would find some common ground while in prison. Very unKiwi to deface a cemetery. A bad sign of the times. What is the world coming to? Those scumballs will do more damage to NZ's good name than the Israeli criminals. I disagree that passport stealing is a minor crime [as suggested by some apologist for the Israeli criminals]. That's a million dollar crime and when used for criminal purposes, it's worse still. Defacing a cemetery is minor by comparison. Mqurice
