Here is an additional comment from Instapundit.

SALON is carrying water for Joe Wilson. Ed Morrissey isn't impressed. The notion that editorials on Wilson, in response to the release of major reports blowing Wilson's credibility out of the water, are somehow "choreographed" seems to me to undermine the Salon case. Indeed, this sentence from the Salon piece seems to undermine the whole "vast right-wing conspiracy" argument all by itself: "The opinion pieces came on the heels of a July 10 report in the Washington Post that said Wilson lied when he claimed in public statements that his wife, a covert Central Intelligence Agency officer, had not recommended him for a fact-finding mission to Niger in 2002."

That's not choreography. That's consequences.

The interesting thing to me, Bill, is just how big a deal this mish mash of attacks on Wilson are for you. Let's all just wait around a bit to see how it shakes out.

Suspicious minds might think the right is desparately looking for any sort of distraction around the Dem Convention time.

Re Joe Wilson, Salon, and Mary Jacoby....Looks like Captains Quarters was right...

Re General Clark and Mary Jacoby.....

Re Waco: talkleft.com
Regarding Taylor's comments, Clark campaign spokeswoman Mary Jacoby said "this is exactly what we've said all along; Gen. Clark had no involvement." Between August 1992 and April 1994, Clark was commander of the 1st Cavalry Division of the Army's III Corps at Fort Hood, Texas. We don't think Clark played a direct role.

The General yelled for help (literally) from his press secretary, Mary Jacoby. Again, Mr. Nagourney:
Mary, help!" he called to his press secretary … "Come back and listen to this."

Times. As the Iraq questions were getting tougher and more detailed, Clark called for his press aide Mary Jacoby, according to Nagourney's account.

"Mary, help!" the retired general cried. Jacoby reminded Clark, "You said you would have voted for the resolution as leverage for a U.N.-based solution." "Right," Clark said. "Exactly."
