Good article, however, most of the really effective nerds were American kids at schools such as the University of Illinios and Stanford who brought us the internet.

It's one thing to have a great talent for math or science, combining that talent with a creative entrapraneurial spirit is where America really outpaces the rest of the world.

As I log on in a small internet caffe in Athens, I continue to be amazed by the influence of the net.
