Using disease models to treat morbid obesity has two main stumbling blocks.

First, almost everybody thinks they are too fat, although the vast majority are not morbidly obese, and they know that they can lose ten or twenty pounds by just cutting out french fries and cheeseburgers, so what's the problem?

Second, morbidly obese people are widely considered to be too ugly to exist. Why waste money on them?
