I did, Saddam Hussien himself was a weapon of mass destruction. He proved it over a thirty year period. No doubt he would have killed hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions had he been allowed to stay in power.

Why hold back? Perhaps he could have killed 10s of millions; perhaps hundreds of millions; gadzuks... he might have exterminated the entire human race.

Reality is a bit difference. It's likely the huge quantities of chemical weapons captured just before detonation in Jordan were from Saddam's stockpiles shipped to Syria just before the war. Not considering the possibility is telling...

I'm having a bit of trouble confirming that reality....

edition.cnn.com
washingtontimes.com

None of the articles above report any chemical weapons found. Some mention a chemical bomb, which is different than a chemical weapon. They do mention, specifically, sulfuric acid, as one of the chemicals which could be used to make a chemical weapon but it's acknowleged in the article that it's more likely to be used to increase the size of the explosion. I suppose it's possible that Saddam could have smuggled sulfuric acid through Syria into Jordan, but there are plenty of other sources for sulfuric acid...I can't think of why Iraq would be the more likely of a source of sulfuric acid.

I couldn't confirm your earlier statement of 80,000 .... I did find an estimate of 20,000 [see the Fox URL].

But you got the overall story right ... other than that there were no chemical weapons found and there isn't agreement that the chemicals were going to be used to make chemical weapons, and you were off only by a tad on the estimated number of deaths.
