Typically simplistic. First off, I have no idea what you are talking about. Who "outscored" whom on what? Secondly, what figures are you using? How do they relate to local costs? What does the money go for? Different places have to contend with different mandates. There are no simple-minded comparisons. Thirdly, what does the War on Poverty have to do with it? My point was clear and it was based on straight-forward observation. Your response, as usual, is mindless rhetoric. M2

What do you think about Connecticut? What about socio economic? Why is it that students from better socio economic conditions generally perform better than those from inner city kids. What is it that those kids have that inner city kids don't? What about kids with learning disabilities and are below the 40 percentile. Let us refrain from making this a partisan issue for if those kids could vote then we know damn well that they would vote for giving more money. it is no ordinary fluke that Arnold, California Governor, even though he is Republican is all for throwing money at the education system for after-hour classes and activities.

You may need to retune your thinking on this issue my friend and take off your partisan hat.
