Is it mere coincidence that the "correspondent" in that piece is an anti-war advocate, whose works adorn anti-war movement websites? Purely objective, LOL I've seen at least two different versions of that story, one with much more embellishment. Several things about it appeared "fishy" before I even researched your correspondent. Maybe he should ask himself at the outset why Allawi would do that to send a clear message to the police, but immediately deny to the world it ever occurred. Unfortunately, your correspondent is a man with a well-telegraphed agenda, to be sure.
